We were a little worried when we arrived at the Fit For Fall workout site to learn it had been taken over by the 9th Annual Chess in the Park Tournament but it all worked out in the end. Although we had to retire the stairs for the day, Danny found a new spot on-the-fly and brought it all together. Check out some of the action shots below. Next week we should be back in the usual location unless the Greater NY Bird Watching Club gets there first. So grab a friend and head out to the class; it’s a great group of people and a fantastic workout. What better way to start your day?
See you there!

What a class this past Saturday! The weather was absolutely perfect; it was one of those magical mornings in the park. We had a few new additions to the group – Heather, Dave, Eleni, and Ed. They all worked hard and made it through their first class.
I think the toughest circuit of the day was the wall sits + stair runs. Four of us lined up on either side of the stairs in a squat position (while on our toes), while one person ran the stairs. When the person on the stairs was finished, they resumed the squat position while the next person took over on the stairs. From there, we went down the line multiple times! I can hang with heavy squats in the gym but this gave me a burn like no other- one of Danny’s many tricks.
Danny is preparing another amazing workout for next Saturday so we hope to see you there. I tried to get him to give me a sneak preview of the new circuit he has planned but he won’t say a word. Guess we will all have to wait and see…
Here are some of the highlights of this past workout:
